While Sean “Diddy” Combs fights serious charges in his federal sex trafficking trial, his legal team is already winning — at least in the courtroom fashion department.
According to sources inside the Manhattan federal courthouse, Diddy’s defense attorneys are turning heads with their upscale fashion choices, leaving the prosecution team looking noticeably more modest by comparison. Several members of the public gallery, including the creators of the “Rotten Mango” podcast, were particularly impressed with attorney Teny Geragos — daughter of famed lawyer Mark Geragos — who rocked a black printed Veronica Beard dress, a matching cropped blazer, and 4.5-inch black Aquazzura heels adorned with bows. She completed the chic ensemble with a vintage black Chanel bag.
Another member of the legal team, Alexandra Shapiro, made her own statement with an elegant string of pearls — a timeless and expensive touch that added to the team’s aura of luxury and preparedness.
Despite the high fashion flurry surrounding his attorneys, Diddy himself opted for a more laid-back look — repeating a sweater-over-button-down combo from the previous day. His shirt became untucked during the constant back-and-forth of jury selection, but he still appeared energized and confident, often smiling and chatting with his team, even passing notes between attorneys Teny Geragos and Brian Steel.
The Prosecutors Keep It Conservative
On the other side of the courtroom, the all-female prosecution team presented a polished, professional appearance — but noticeably more subdued. Their outfits were reportedly purchased from more affordable outlets like Brooks Brothers, with lead prosecutor Maurene Comey donning a simple navy-blue suit. She kept things light, even smiling while chatting about her kids during a break in proceedings.
However, prosecutor Mary Christine Slavik was all business on Tuesday. She led the courtroom strategy and skipped the friendly banter, laser-focused on jury selection and courtroom duties.
Fashion Isn’t the Only Drama in Court
Jury selection is still underway, but it hasn’t been without drama. One potential juror was dismissed after expressing the belief that Diddy might be able to buy his way out of legal trouble — an opinion that raised eyebrows but was ultimately not contested by prosecutors.
Although Diddy faces multiple federal charges — including two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution, and one count of racketeering — the mood in the courtroom remained surprisingly upbeat on the defense side. Diddy was seen hugging members of his legal team, appearing fully engaged and even amused at times.
With opening arguments expected soon, the courtroom is already heating up — and not just because of the charges. If fashion was the deciding factor, Diddy’s defense might already have a verdict: runway-ready and courtroom confident.
