Hammer-Wielding Woman Attacks Drake’s NYC OVO Store

Drake just got hit with some unwanted drama in New York City — and no, it wasn’t Kendrick Lamar pulling up for another round of rap beef. Instead, a hammer-wielding woman stormed his October’s Very Own (OVO) clothing store in Manhattan on Tuesday, leaving behind smashed glass, chaos, and an attempted arson investigation.

Caught on Camera: OVO Store Chaos

Witnesses outside the store captured the entire wild scene on video.

Through the glass, the woman — dressed in nothing but a black bra and leather pants — could be seen throwing items around, smashing windows, and wreaking havoc inside the high-end streetwear shop.

When she finally stepped outside, onlookers said she didn’t run — she strutted. The clip shows her calmly walking down the street with purpose, passing by stunned passersby who, in true New York fashion, didn’t seem nearly as rattled as you might expect.

The attacker allegedly went into the store around 4.30pm, took out a hammer and began smashing windows

    Police Response & Arrest

Moments later, NYPD officers approached the woman at a nearby corner. Video shows cops cuffing her, searching her bag, and loading her into the back of a squad car.

According to a statement from the NYPD, witnesses told police the woman not only destroyed property with a hammer, but also tried to set the store on fire. She has since been arrested and booked on charges of criminal mischief and attempted arson.

Her identity has not yet been released.

    Damage Done

The full extent of the damage hasn’t been confirmed, but witnesses described the inside of the boutique as “wrecked.” Police say the investigation is ongoing, and the hammer allegedly used in the rampage was recovered at the scene.

Drake’s team has not yet responded to requests for comment.

    Fans React

Clips of the bizarre incident are already making the rounds on social media, with fans weighing in:

    • “NYC is Gotham City… Drake better move OVO back to Toronto.”
    • “Not the OVO owl catching strays .”
    • “She strutted out like it was her runway after smashing windows?? Iconic but insane.”

Drake’s OVO Empire Takes a Hit

Drake launched OVO (October’s Very Own) back in 2008, and the brand has since grown into a global streetwear powerhouse with locations in Toronto, Los Angeles, London, and New York City.

The NYC flagship — located in the heart of Manhattan — is one of the brand’s busiest stores, making Tuesday’s attack not only destructive but a serious disruption for the team.

    What’s Next

For now, the OVO store will likely undergo repairs as police continue their investigation. No word yet on whether Drake himself will address the incident, but given his history of clapping back at headlines, fans are already refreshing his Instagram.

One thing’s for sure: between rap beefs, world tours, and now hammer-swinging arson attempts, life around Drake never seems to stay quiet for long.
