Judge Denies DDG’s Restraining Order—Halle Bailey Can Travel Abroad with Son

In a major legal development, a judge has denied rapper and YouTuber DDG’s emergency request for a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, actress and singer Halle Bailey. This decision clears the way for Halle to travel internationally to Italy with their 17-month-old son, Halo, despite DDG’s serious allegations.

The Court Battle: DDG’s Emergency Motion and Allegations

On June 4, 2025, DDG filed an emergency motion accusing Halle Bailey of posing an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their young son. His motion detailed concerns over Halle’s past behavior, citing alleged incidents involving threats of self-harm and erratic conduct.

In the same motion, DDG sought sole legal and physical custody of Halo or, alternatively, requested that custody exchanges be conducted through a neutral third party to ensure the child’s safety.

Halle Bailey Pushes Back: Work Commitments and Social Media Restrictions

Halle responded swiftly, filing legal documents opposing DDG’s motion. She insisted that her upcoming travel to Italy was necessary for work, highlighting her professional obligations. Moreover, Halle accused DDG and his legal team of ignoring her attempts to arrange monitored visits, especially after a temporary restraining order was issued against DDG himself on May 13, 2025.

Significantly, Halle requested the court to prohibit DDG, his family, and associates from posting about her, their son, or the ongoing legal proceedings on social media, emphasizing the need for privacy and protection from public scrutiny.

What This Means: Halle’s International Travel Approved

The judge’s ruling effectively grants Halle Bailey the freedom to travel abroad with Halo for both business and personal reasons, rejecting DDG’s claims at this stage of the custody dispute.

A full custody hearing is set for June 24, 2025, where both Halle and DDG will present their evidence and arguments regarding custody arrangements, visitation rights, and the well-being of their son.

    Public Silence and Next Steps

So far, Halle Bailey has not made any public statements regarding the court’s decision or the ongoing custody battle. Fans and followers are closely watching the situation as it unfolds, given the high-profile nature of both parents.

Why This Case Matters: Child Custody and Celebrity Privacy

This legal battle underscores the complex and often messy intersection of celebrity, parenthood, and privacy. The court’s decision highlights the delicate balance between protecting a child’s best interests while respecting the rights of both parents.

As the June 24 hearing approaches, the spotlight remains on how this high-stakes custody case will impact not only DDG and Halle but also public conversations about mental health, social media conduct, and parental responsibility.

What do you think about the court’s ruling? Should Halle be allowed to travel freely with Halo during the custody dispute? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Stay tuned for exclusive updates on DDG and Halle Bailey’s custody battle.
