Katt Williams Brings Golf Smoke Back to PGA Tour—And Fans Can’t Wait

Comedy meets competition once again as Katt Williams returns to the PGA Tour Live broadcast—bringing his unmatched comedic brilliance and love for the game to the mic at the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis.

Set for Thursday, August 7, and Friday, August 8, at 9 a.m. ET, Williams will join forces with ESPN’s Michael Collins to provide live, on-course commentary for the second straight year. And if their electric chemistry at the 2024 Tour Championship is any indication, golf fans are in for a wildly entertaining ride.

⛳️ Not Just Funny—Katt’s a Real Golfer Too

Williams isn’t just a casual observer on the green—he’s a real-deal golf lover, complete with a 19 handicap and a burning passion for the game.

In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, the Emmy-winning funnyman explained how a rotator cuff injury led to his current handicap rating.

“OK, so I had to establish a handicap when I tore my rotator cuff. So, I came in as a 19 handicap, but I shoot low 80s,” Williams revealed.

“You certainly don’t want to bet me! Eighty-three is a good and gettable score for me all across the country at excellent courses.”

Translation? Don’t let the handicap fool you. Katt can hold his own on elite courses—and probably make you laugh your clubs off while doing it.

Golf Is Life, Literally, for Katt

Beyond the clubs and scorecards, Williams sees golf as a metaphor for resilience, strategy, and self-mastery—a surprisingly philosophical stance for a man known for roasting Hollywood with surgical precision.

“The thing that I like about golf is that it permeates so many different parts of your life,” Williams said.

“It’s not like it fixes everything, but it gives you a new parameter for things. The first four holes not going to your liking? It has the ability to ruin the day, but it doesn’t have to.”

Katt breaks it down in a way only he can—turning double bogeys into life lessons.

“You can fix this front nine, you see? And level this front nine out to where you can still have a good 18.”

    Preach.

️ Where to Watch Katt Williams Live at the FedEx St. Jude Championship

Golf, laughs, and real talk—don’t miss a minute of Katt’s coverage on:

    • ESPN+ (PGA Tour Live)
    • Peacock (Livestream available)

Coverage begins Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8 at 9:00 AM ET for the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs opening event.

Katt + Michael Collins = Golf Commentary Gold

Williams won over golf fans last year when he first joined Michael Collins, a former caddie turned ESPN golf analyst, for PGA Tour Live.

The two brought a refreshing blend of humor, insight, and pop culture flavor to a sport often considered straight-laced. Their chemistry sparked a wave of social media buzz—and drew in new audiences who don’t usually tune in to the Tour.

Fans are already hyped for the duo’s reunion this year, with one tweet reading:

“Katt Williams on the PGA mic is elite TV. Golf will never be the same again.”

Katt Williams Is Having a Major Pop Culture Moment

Let’s not forget—Katt Williams has been trending all year.

From viral podcast interviews to blistering Hollywood revelations, the 53-year-old comic has been dropping headlines like birdies. He recently made waves when he claimed disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein once solicited him with two actresses—a bombshell that had the internet in flames.

Williams, who’s never been afraid to call out corruption or fake industry smiles, continues to use his platform to speak up—whether on stage, in interviews, or now, on the PGA Tour.

And fans? They’re here for every minute of it.

From “Pimp Chronicles” to PGA: Katt’s Evolution Is Peak Entertainment

Williams, best known for his iconic stand-up specials like The Pimp Chronicles and It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’, has always brought a sharp, observational lens to everyday life.

Now, by merging his love of golf with his gift of gab, he’s showing us a whole new side—and reminding the world that golf doesn’t have to be boring.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a casual viewer, there’s no denying it: Katt Williams makes golf watchable, relatable, and laugh-out-loud hilarious.

    What’s Next for Katt?

While the PGA Tour stint is already creating buzz, insiders say Williams has more surprises in store for 2025.

With new stand-up dates rumored, possible book deals, and ongoing Hollywood tea-spilling, don’t be shocked if Katt takes over more unexpected spaces this year.

One thing’s for sure—he’s moving with purpose, precision, and a putter.
