According to newly filed court documents, the estranged couple’s 10-year-old daughter officially kicked off her summer vacation with a trip to Montana, where she’ll spend at least three consecutive weeks with her paternal grandparents — and away from both mom and dad.

Per the court order, Kaia is to stay with Kroy’s parents in the scenic Big Sky Country — but this isn’t some free-range summer. She’s expected to keep her flip phone on her at all times, with strict daily communication rules in place.
- Kim and Kroy are each allowed one 15-minute phone call per day with Kaia.
- Kroy must provide Kim with his parents’ and sister’s contact info for emergencies.
- If Kaia requests to return home early, her grandparents are legally required to put her on a flight home within 48 hours.

No unsupervised time with boys her age (middle or high school level) is allowed during her stay.
