Lil Uzi Vert Hit With New Assault Lawsuit—Case Refiled in Pennsylvania!

Lil Uzi Vert is back in the legal spotlight—facing a brand-new assault lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania, reopening a battle that was previously shut down in New York.

The drama stems from an alleged 2023 incident involving Abdullah Ali, who claims he was viciously attacked after photographing a Rolls-Royce decked out with Floyd Mayweather’s Money Team branding.

According to Ali’s new complaint, things took a violent turn when he encountered individuals linked to Uzi, resulting in a brutal assault where he says he was punched, kicked, and left with serious injuries, including a damaged shoulder and missing teeth.

    What’s the Backstory?

This isn’t the first time Ali has tried to hold Lil Uzi Vert accountable. Earlier this year, a similar lawsuit filed in New York named Uzi as a defendant, but the case was dismissed. Now, Ali is doubling down by refiling in Philadelphia, aiming to keep the allegations alive.

Though Uzi was previously dropped from the New York case, this fresh filing drags him back into the spotlight—and back into court.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Legal Team Responds: Innocence Maintained

Uzi’s attorney, Joanna Menillo, fired back with a strong defense in a statement to Complex:

“This case has been frivolous from the outset with absolutely no evidence of any involvement by Uzi or Uzivert [Uzi’s company] in this alleged assault. The Court in New York rightly dismissed this case and we expect the Court in Pennsylvania will do the same.”

Floyd Mayweather Also Named—But Quiet So Far

Floyd Mayweather, whose Money Team branding was central to the dispute, was named in the original complaint but has yet to publicly address the new filing.

    What’s Next?

With the Pennsylvania court now tasked with reviewing this refiled suit, all eyes are on whether the case will survive or follow New York’s lead and get tossed.

Lil Uzi Vert’s team remains confident that justice will prevail and that this chapter will close once and for all.
