Linda Hogan has opened up about her ongoing rift with her daughter Brooke Hogan, standing by her ex-husband Hulk Hogan and insisting he’s a great father who doesn’t deserve to be excluded from Brooke’s life.
Speaking exclusively to TMZ, Linda expressed frustration and sadness over Brooke’s decision to distance herself from the family for what she calls “bogus, selfish, childish reasons.” Linda warned that Brooke’s actions would have lasting consequences, particularly for her children who may never know the iconic status of their grandfather, Hulk Hogan.
In an emotional interview, Linda admitted she is heartbroken that she may never be a grandmother to Brooke’s children but hopes they will one day understand just how big a star their grandfather was. “They’ll never realize their grandfather is the great Hulk Hogan,” Linda said, tearfully recounting the painful estrangement.
Despite past marital issues, Linda made it clear she believes Hulk was a devoted father. “He was a s****y husband sometimes,” Linda admitted, “but he was always a good father who spent probably over $3 million on Brooke’s career with no questions asked.” She credited Hulk for supporting the family financially and emotionally, even as their marriage crumbled.
Hulk Hogan’s wrestling career is legendary, spanning decades and including massive international stardom in Europe, Asia, and beyond. Linda emphasized that although their marriage didn’t work out, Hulk remained a fantastic father, always willing to support Brooke in her musical and entertainment pursuits.
Linda also expressed her disappointment in Brooke’s decision to cut ties with the family. “What Brooke’s doing to us is completely unprecedented, unexpected, and unfair. Hulk Hogan, my ex, has been really distraught and saddened by her distance just as I and her brother Nick have as well,” Linda revealed.
The rift between Brooke and her family appears to be widening. Linda suggested that Brooke’s effort to distance herself may be rooted in an attempt to leave her alleged “party girl” past behind and reinvent herself. “It seems she’s trying to turn over a new leaf and act like a totally different person,” Linda stated.
Still, Linda wished her daughter well despite the fractured relationship. “After what Brooke has done to punish us and torture us, to get married and to have twins and not call us, the damage has already been done,” she lamented. “I don’t think she could hurt us anymore, so she can just march on her merry way with her family. I wish them well but she has left a path of destruction.”
Interestingly, Linda’s recent comments show a shift in her perspective. Just days earlier, she referred to Hulk as a “liar” and “sex addict” in a video where she called her family a mess. While she clearly hasn’t forgiven him for cheating on her, she remains adamant that his parenting skills should not be questioned.
The feud between Brooke and her parents appears to be a tangled web of hurt feelings, estrangement, and unresolved grievances. ICYMI, Brooke recently accused Linda of physical and verbal abuse during her childhood—claims that Linda categorically denies, arguing that Brooke is conflating strict parenting with abuse.
Despite her frustration, Linda still seems to be in Hulk’s corner when it comes to defending his role as a father. Whether or not Brooke will choose to reconcile remains to be seen, but the emotional fallout of their strained relationship continues to make headlines.
