After over two decades of defining underground hip-hop, Little Brother — the iconic rap duo of Phonte and Big Pooh — has officially announced their final tour. Aptly titled “Curtain Call,” the farewell run kicks off May 24 in Baltimore and gives fans one last chance to see the beloved group live.
The announcement, delivered via an exclusive interview with AllHipHop, reveals that this is a celebratory ending, not a breakup rooted in conflict.
“Me and Phonte, we super good,” Pooh said. “We had a chance to reconcile, come back and, I believe, put Little Brother to bed the proper way… and allow our fans to have that moment, too.”
A Legacy of Integrity and Impact
Phonte echoed the sentiment, reflecting on what the duo has achieved since their 2019 reunion.
“We came back after a decade and got our first No. 1 record, did our own movie, did our own block party, and regained control of our catalog,” Phonte said. “Our mission as Little Brother is complete… Our lives as Phonte and Thomas will go on forever.”
Formed in the early 2000s with original producer 9th Wonder, Little Brother made an indelible mark with albums like The Listening (2003) and The Minstrel Show (2005), celebrated for their authenticity and soulful lyricism. After parting ways in 2010, the duo reunited nearly a decade later to release the critically acclaimed May the Lord Watch in 2019.
Now, they’re ready to close the chapter — this time on their own terms.
