As the fight for women’s reproductive rights intensifies across the United States, Planned Parenthood has received a wave of powerful support from over 250 prominent figures, including Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

The Houston-born rap icon is among hundreds of celebrities, activists, entertainers, and leaders who signed an open letter published as a full-page ad in The New York Times. Titled “I’m for Planned Parenthood,” the statement reaffirms support for the organization’s mission to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services across the country.

“Over 250 artists, activists, athletes, and business leaders support Planned Parenthood’s mission. All across the country, nearly 600 nonprofit health centers provide the care communities need and deserve,” the statement reads.

Other high-profile signees include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Billy Porter, Danielle Brooks, Gabrielle Union, George Lopez, Jack Antonoff, Jimmy Kimmel, Kerry Washington, Roxane Gay, Shonda Rhimes, and Tatyana Ali — each lending their voice to defend reproductive freedoms under attack in various states.

On April 16, 2024, Megan also appeared at the Planned Parenthood Gala in New York City, reinforcing her commitment to advocacy both on and off the stage.

Megan Thee Stallion Launches ‘Hot Girl Swim’ With Walmart

In addition to her advocacy, Megan is expanding her empire. The rapper recently launched her own swimwear line, Hot Girl Swim, in collaboration with Walmart.

“Everyone knows I love being near a pool or a beach, so I finally decided to turn my passion into a business and create my own swimwear brand,” Megan shared in a press release.

Launched on May 19, the brand features 18 vibrant, size-inclusive pieces ranging in price from $16 to $28. The collection includes bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, cover-ups, and more — available in nearly 500 Walmart stores nationwide, as well as on Walmart.com and Megan’s official website.

With bold colors and body-positive designs, Hot Girl Swim reflects Megan’s signature style and message of confidence and self-love — perfect for her legion of fans, affectionately known as the Hotties.

Chicas Divertidas: Megan’s New Tequila Brand

Swimwear isn’t her only recent business venture. Back in February, Megan introduced Chicas Divertidas, her own premium tequila brand. Crafted to embody fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories, the drink is a toast to her growing entrepreneurial spirit.

“As someone who values good vibes and great memories, I knew I wanted to create a tequila that was designed to be shared and savored with my Hotties,” she told PEOPLE. “Smooth, sultry, and premium. This process has been years in the making.”

Chicas Divertidas joins Megan’s growing list of business projects, proving that she’s not only a powerhouse performer but also a rising force in the worlds of fashion, lifestyle, and spirits.

    Conclusion: Artist, Activist, Entrepreneur

Whether she’s performing on stage, advocating for reproductive rights, or launching her own brands, Megan Thee Stallion continues to empower and inspire. Her dual role as an artist and activist reflects a new era of celebrity influence — where visibility, advocacy, and entrepreneurship go hand-in-hand.

With her bold presence in politics, pop culture, and business, Megan Thee Stallion is making sure that the Hot Girl Movement is about more than just music — it’s about making a meaningful impact.
