Michael Phelps is living up to his reputation as Team USA’s GOAT swimmer — and proving he’s just as generous with his time as he is fast in the water. Just one week after accepting the Baltimore Ravens’ invitation to give swimming lessons, Phelps hit the pool Tuesday to train several members of the NFL roster.
The Ravens had asked for his help after trying out the new Under Armour Performance Center recovery pool, and Phelps happily obliged, sharing expert tips and hands-on guidance to help players improve in the water.
One-on-One Coaching and Friendly Competition
Ravens staffer Ryan Mink posted footage of the session, including personalized instruction for defensive tackle Travis Jones, where Phelps demonstrated proper kicking techniques.
There was also some friendly competition in the pool. Phelps raced several players — but gave them a head start and swam entirely underwater, showing why he’s considered the fastest in the world.

Phelps Keeps It Real About Olympic-Level Training
Despite the fun, Phelps reminded everyone that reaching Olympic-level swimming is no small feat. The 40-year-old explained that during his competitive years, he went six years without missing a single day of pool training, emphasizing the dedication required to reach the top.
While the Ravens may not have the same level of aquatic prowess, they walked away with priceless tips from a legend, plus a once-in-a-lifetime pool experience.
Ravens Fans React
The session has been a hit among fans and teammates alike, blending NFL grit with Olympic-level finesse. Photos and clips from the day show smiling players, underwater races, and unforgettable moments with one of the greatest athletes of all time.
