Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 rollout is at the center of a legal dispute over hundreds of thousands of dollars in alleged promotional expenses — and newly submitted emails are putting the rapper’s team’s budget concerns under the microscope.
TMZ has obtained evidence submitted in the ongoing lawsuit between 24/7 Productions and Minaj and her company. The production company claims it spent more than $275,000 on hotels and travel under a previously approved budget but was never reimbursed.
Now, an alleged November 29, 2023 email from a member of Minaj’s team is being used as part of 24/7 Productions’ case.
In the email, the team member reportedly questioned a $250,000 promotional allowance from Republic Records for a week of scheduled work in New York, arguing that the amount was far below what would actually be needed.

According to the alleged email, the team member wrote that the allowance was “extremely low” and estimated that the actual cost would be at least twice that amount. The message specifically pointed to hotels and transportation as expenses that could consume the entire budget.
The email also broke down several other potential costs.
The team discussed paying a videographer and photographer $3,000 per day, totaling $18,000 for six days. A seamstress or tailor was reportedly budgeted at $700 per day, or $4,200 for the same period.
Travel costs were another concern.
The team member reportedly asked whether Minaj’s son would be traveling with her and noted that, without him, her usual plane rider alone cost more than $2,000 per leg. The email also raised concerns about the amount allocated for hotels during the New York schedule.
The team member reportedly described a $10,000 travel allowance as “a little low.”

Those emails are now being presented as evidence by 24/7 Productions as it pursues its claims against Minaj and her company.
The dispute does not establish that every expense cited in the emails was ultimately incurred or approved. Instead, the documents offer a glimpse into the budget discussions surrounding Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 promotional schedule — and the production company is using them to support its broader reimbursement claim.
The case remains ongoing, with the alleged emails forming part of the evidence being used by 24/7 Productions to make its case.
