Nicolas Cage has a massive problem outside his Malibu home — the ground has literally opened up next to his property.
A huge sinkhole tore through the roadway and part of the driveway outside Cage’s place, leaving behind a deep crater filled with busted concrete, exposed dirt and mangled pavement.

And the collapse appears to have come dangerously close to the actor’s garage.
Images show chunks of Cage’s driveway cracked, tilted and hanging over the edge of the massive hole, creating a seriously precarious situation just steps from the property.
Cones and caution tape have been placed around the damaged area as crews deal with the collapse.

It’s unclear what caused the sinkhole to form, and there’s no word on whether Cage’s actual home sustained any damage.
The scene is definitely an unusual addition to Malibu’s list of celebrity-home headaches. The coastal community is no stranger to problems involving its hillsides and roads — but Cage now has a very different kind of trouble directly outside his door.

For now, the biggest concern appears to be the unstable roadway and driveway, with the crater leaving a sizable chunk of pavement and concrete in rough shape.
At least Cage has a new reminder that sometimes the biggest property problem isn’t inside the house — it’s the ground underneath it.
