Pastor Wilson Bugembe, the beloved leader of Nansana Worship House Church, has issued a stern warning after his 20th Anniversary concert at Kampala Serena Hotel was plagued by theft and fake ticket sales.
Speaking candidly to reporters, Pastor Bugembe revealed the shocking level of criminal activity that marred the event over the weekend — including fake tickets, stranded fans, and stolen property.
“I alert the next people planning to stage concerts at the Serena Hotel that it has a lot of dubious guys. Some sold fake tickets to revellers. Revellers were crying at the gate with fake tickets. Be careful. Some were accusing others of selling them the fake tickets,” Pastor Bugembe stated.
Shocking Security Lapses at an Uptown Venue
The pastor expressed disbelief that such irregularities could happen at a prestigious location like Serena Hotel.
“I didn’t know that an uptown concert would have such shortcomings. Some spent the night in Police cells because there were serious thieves. There are very dubious guys in suits at Serena.”
Reports from the event included multiple cases of phone theft, and even a missing laptop belonging to a person named Lwanga.

Call for Tighter Security Measures
Concerned about the rising crime at major venues, Pastor Bugembe urged Kampala Serena Hotel management to step up security efforts to protect guests and artists alike.
“There were a lot of phone theft cases, and Lwanga also lost his laptop,” he said, emphasizing the need for improved safeguards during events.
What This Means for Future Events
As the concert industry rebounds and more high-profile shows return to venues like Serena Hotel, this incident serves as a stark reminder that fraud and theft can undermine even the most celebrated occasions.
Event organizers and venue managers will need to collaborate closely to ensure fans’ safety and a smooth experience for all involved.
