Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, is not here for the haters throwing shade at her dad’s latest album, Tha Carter VI. On June 15th, the 26-year-old hit back fiercely during a live stream after a viewer dismissed the album as “trash.”

“Just Because It’s Not TikTok, Doesn’t Mean It’s Trash”

Reginae wasn’t having any of it when fans criticized the album for not sparking viral social media dances.

“This is what I hate about y’all kids. The fact that y’all can’t get on TikTok and do a little dance to it doesn’t mean it’s trash, babes!” she said, laughing.

She explained that not all music is made for fleeting internet trends.

“The fact that you can’t do a lil’ one-two, lil’ viral moment for it, that doesn’t mean it’s trash.”

    Praising Her Dad’s Timeless Craft

Reginae praised her father’s artistry, emphasizing that Tha Carter VI has a broad, “universal” appeal far beyond TikTok fame.

She said the album fits everywhere — from malls to video games like NBA 2K — proving it’s more than just a soundtrack for viral moments.

For Reginae, Lil Wayne’s music is about lasting impact, skill, and depth, not just social media hype.

    A No-Nonsense Warning to Critics

For those who don’t appreciate her dad’s work, Reginae had a blunt message:

“If you can’t understand it, move in silence and get the f**k outta here.”

She’s crystal clear: Lil Wayne’s legacy as one of hip-hop’s greatest lyricists is alive and well — no matter what the internet says.

Fans React: Respect for Reginae’s Fierce Defense

Fans quickly rallied behind Reginae’s passionate stand, applauding her for defending Wayne’s artistry and pushing back against shallow critiques.

    One fan tweeted:

“Reginae telling it like it is! Lil Wayne is a legend, no TikTok dance needed.”

    Another added:

“Respect to Reginae for standing up for real music in a world obsessed with trends.”
