Sebastian Telfair Urges Trump to Stop His Prison Sentence

Former NBA guard Sebastian Telfair is facing a tough reality — reporting to prison this week after violating his supervised release in a high-profile healthcare fraud case. But before he heads behind bars, Telfair is making a bold plea to former President Donald Trump for help to avoid his upcoming sentence.

“Definitely Some Bulls***” — Telfair’s Frustration With His Case

Speaking to TMZ Sports in New York City Monday, Telfair described the entire situation as “definitely some bulls***” and expressed strong belief that if Trump reviews his story, he’ll want to pardon him.

    He said:

“Trump, go check in on my story and you’re definitely going to want to pardon me. You’ll hold me accountable and want me to continue to go do good. But I did too good to be sending anybody to jail.”

The Healthcare Fraud Scandal and Its Fallout

Telfair was implicated alongside several former NBA players — including Glen “Big Baby” Davis — in a scheme that defrauded the league’s healthcare plan of millions.

Originally sentenced to time served plus three years’ supervised release, Telfair was recently re-sentenced to six months behind bars after allegedly failing to meet the terms of his release.

A “Paperwork” Issue and a Family Promise

Telfair says the violation stems from a “paperwork” mishap and believes the punishment is unfair.

Despite his anger and frustration, he vowed to his family, friends, and fans that he’ll use his time in prison to better himself and focus on his upcoming book.

“I’m definitely mad I put myself in this situation,” he admitted. “But we definitely have got some wins coming. So, my fans, just hold tight.”

    What’s Next for Sebastian Telfair?

With his prison date set for Tuesday, all eyes are on whether Trump will intervene with a pardon or clemency. But regardless, Telfair promises to come out stronger and ready to keep pushing forward.
