Sophia recently made headlines after revealing on TikTok that she’s taking Mounjaro, a medication primarily used for Type 2 diabetes, which has gained popularity for its weight loss effects. She also mentioned experiencing hair loss as a side effect — noting she was shedding hair “by the handful.”
Despite backlash from commenters accusing her of “promoting anorexia” or questioning why she’s taking a weight loss drug when she’s already slim, Sophia says she’s unbothered.
“I am 25 years old, so I’m an adult, I can do what I want,” she said. “I’m owning it.”

Sophia also emphasized that she consulted with a medical professional before beginning the medication and confirmed that her mom, Kyle Richards, is supportive of her decision.
As for her motivations, Sophia says it wasn’t about hating her appearance — she simply wanted to feel a little more confident.
“I just think it’ll help me feel a little bit more confident, a little bit cuter,” she explained.
