Stephen Curry and former First Lady Michelle Obama are revolutionizing the hydration market with PLEZi Hydration, a new sports drink designed for active lifestyles.

    A Healthier Hydration Option

Debuting in three refreshing flavors—Lemon-Lime, Orange Mango Twist, and Tropical Punch—PLEZi Hydration is already available for purchase on Amazon. Each 16.9-ounce bottle is priced at $2.29, making it an accessible choice for athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Unlike traditional sports drinks, PLEZi Hydration contains twice the electrolytes to enhance performance, half the sugar of leading brands, and seven times the potassium to aid in faster recovery.

    Stephen Curry on PLEZi’s Mission

In a recent interview with HOT97, Curry discussed his inspiration for joining the PLEZi team alongside his wife, Ayesha Curry.

“This has been a couple of years in the making. Knowing the Obama family and understanding the mission of PLEZi, we saw an opportunity to contribute to a space that needed healthier options. Ayesha and I wanted to be part of the solution,” Curry said.

The NBA superstar also emphasized how his awareness of nutrition has played a key role in his longevity and performance on the court.

“Growing up playing sports, I never thought about what was in the drinks we consumed for hydration. We just picked what tasted good. Now, I understand the importance of choosing options that fuel my body in the right way,” he added.

Michelle Obama on the Future of PLEZi

PLEZi, which translates to “joy” and “fun” in Haitian Creole, originally launched two years ago as a healthier alternative to kids’ drinks. The brand has since expanded, introducing PLEZi Fizz, a carbonated soda, and now PLEZi Hydration for athletes and active individuals.

Michelle Obama expressed her excitement about working with Curry and continuing PLEZi’s vision:

“At PLEZi, we’re always thinking about how we can change the game when it comes to nutrition. That’s why we’re thrilled to team up with our longtime friend, Stephen Curry, to create a drink that gives active people the hydration they need—without unnecessary additives. With the help of registered dietitians, PLEZi Hydration delivers more potassium, less sugar, and reduced sodium, all while maintaining great taste. We’re excited to offer a healthier alternative for those who prioritize their well-being.”

A Bold Step Towards Healthier Choices

By combining science-backed nutrition with delicious flavors, PLEZi Hydration is setting a new standard in the sports drink industry. Whether you’re an athlete, a fitness enthusiast, or someone looking for better hydration options, Curry and Obama’s latest collaboration is proving that staying healthy doesn’t have to come at the cost of flavor or performance.
