Tarek El Moussa’s Vegas Battery Case Officially Dismissed

Tarek El Moussa, the star of Flip or Flop, has officially had his misdemeanor battery case dismissed in Las Vegas. TMZ confirms the Flip or Flop star will no longer face legal consequences after the June altercation that made headlines.

According to new court documents, the case was dismissed with prejudice on August 5 — meaning the charge cannot be filed again. The dismissal came after Tarek completed impulse control counseling and maintained a clean record in the months following the incident.

The Fight That Sparked the Battery Case

The violent scuffle reportedly went down at The Palazzo at the Venetian Resort back in June. Police reports indicate the confrontation began when a man bumped into a chair occupied by Tarek’s father at a roulette table.

    • Tarek’s father noticed the bump and stared at the man before returning to his game.
    • The man allegedly patted Tarek’s dad on the shoulder and made a remark, which triggered the incident.

Sources say Tarek, who was seated nearby, jumped to his father’s defense, charging at the man and pushing him back. The two quickly squared off in what police described as a “fighting stance.”

    The Physical Altercation

    According to the report:

    • The other man attempted to take Tarek down by going for his legs.
    • Tarek reportedly kneed him to the floor, mounted his back, and landed three blows to the head before walking away.

Officers responded to a call for an assault/battery, spoke with the victim, and cited Tarek for battery. Notably, Tarek was not arrested at the scene.

    Tarek’s Defense and Legal Outcome

Throughout the legal process, Tarek’s team maintained that he acted in defense of his elderly father, emphasizing the incident was a protective response rather than aggression.

Tarek’s attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, told TMZ:

“We are very pleased that the case against Tarek was completely dismissed.”

With the dismissal, Tarek closes this chapter without any criminal record related to the incident.

What’s Next for Tarek El Moussa

While Tarek is now free from legal issues stemming from the Las Vegas altercation, the incident highlights the sometimes unpredictable pressures public figures face when defending loved ones in public spaces. Fans and followers have expressed support across social media, praising Tarek for protecting his father.
