The Chainsmokers Crash Ohio State Frat Party — Fans Lose It

Move over, college DJs … The Chainsmokers just delivered a night Ohio State students will never forget.

The Grammy-winning duo — Alex Pall and Drew Taggart — shocked everyone when they pulled up unannounced to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) house and threw down a full-on set, sending students into absolute chaos.

And the timing? Perfect. It all went down just before OSU’s massive showdown against the Texas Longhorns, making this one of the most legendary game-day turn-ups in Buckeye history.

A Surprise No One Saw Coming

According to students on the scene, not even the SAE brothers knew the Chainsmokers were coming.

The frat had a DJ booth already set up for the night … but then, out of nowhere, Alex and Drew just hopped on the decks and lit the place up.

Phones flew in the air. Drinks spilled. Students crammed shoulder-to-shoulder inside and outside the house. It was pure, unfiltered college chaos — the kind you usually only see in movies.

    Playing All the Hits

Of course, they didn’t hold back. The Chainsmokers ran through crowd favorites like:

    • “Closer”
    • “Roses”
    • “Don’t Let Me Down”
    • … and more

Every drop had the floor shaking with students jumping in sync. At one point, the entire crowd erupted into a chant for OSU, blending school spirit with EDM energy.

    Social Media Meltdown

Clips from the party instantly went viral, with fans dubbing it the “college rager of the year.”

On Instagram and X, students posted videos captioned:

    • “Only at Ohio State ”
    • “When the Chainsmokers show up at your frat … legendary.”
    • “We peaked tonight. There’s no topping this.”

It’s not the first time the duo has surprised students either — earlier this year, they popped up at an Arizona State frat party, proving they’re slowly becoming the kings of campus crashers.

    Why Ohio State?

The Chainsmokers have always leaned into youth culture and viral moments, so dropping in on a frat before one of the biggest college football games of the season was a no-brainer.

It keeps their fanbase buzzing, and it cements their reputation as not just EDM stars … but masters of surprise hype.

SAE Secures Its Spot at the Top House

Let’s be real — SAE just became the most envied frat in the country. Between the surprise set, the viral videos, and the once-in-a-lifetime energy … they’ve locked in frat party history status.

As one student put it: “We might not even remember the game score, but we’ll remember this night forever.”

    What’s Next for The Chainsmokers?

With their college-crashing streak continuing, don’t be surprised if the Chainsmokers keep pulling these wild pop-ups at other campuses nationwide.

For now, though, Ohio State owns bragging rights to one of the biggest surprises of 2025.
