T.I. is heading to Tuskegee University for a Homecoming celebration that will put the Atlanta rap star at the center of the festivities — both on the parade route and on the football field.
The rapper has been named Grand Marshal for Tuskegee’s upcoming Homecoming and will also serve as the halftime performer during the university’s November 7 football game against Miles College, according to TMZ Sports.
T.I. is expected to lead the Homecoming Parade before taking the field alongside the university’s Marching Crimson Pipers for the halftime performance.
The event will also be a family moment for the rapper. His youngest daughter, Heiress Harris, is scheduled to sing the National Anthem, adding another connection to the day’s celebrations.
The appearance carries a musical connection between T.I. and the university’s marching band.

Earlier this year, the Tuskegee band appeared in the music video for his song “Trauma Bond.” The track samples the band’s signature “Ball N’ Parlay,” bringing the group’s sound into the rapper’s latest musical chapter.
“Trauma Bond” appears on Kill the King, which has been described as T.I.’s final album.
The Homecoming performance therefore reunites the rapper with musicians who have already contributed to one of his recent projects. This time, the connection will play out in front of the Tuskegee community during one of the university’s major annual celebrations.
For T.I., the Grand Marshal role and halftime appearance offer two different ways to participate in the festivities: leading the parade and bringing his music to the football crowd.
With Heiress also scheduled to take part, the November 7 event is shaping up to be a family affair for the Harris household.
Tuskegee University’s Homecoming game against Miles College will combine college football, marching-band tradition and a high-profile hip-hop performance, with T.I. taking a prominent role throughout the day.
