Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan has finally revealed why her music career was short-lived, despite her early attempts to break into the industry.
Juggling Responsibilities Led to Her Exit
During the early days of her fame, Zari ventured into music, releasing a few songs. However, her journey as a singer did not last long. She has now disclosed that overwhelming personal and professional responsibilities forced her to step away from the industry.
“I was managing the head office, overseeing the satellite campuses, raising my boys, and being someone’s ‘husband.’ At the same time, I had started a singing career, and I had to choose,” Zari explained.
Music Wasn’t Her True Passion
Unlike many musicians who join the industry out of passion, Zari admitted that her decision to pursue music was primarily a strategic move.
She revealed that her goal was never to become a full-time musician but rather to use music as a stepping stone into the film industry. She hoped that by gaining recognition as a singer, directors would notice her talent and cast her in movie roles.
Prioritizing Business and Family
As time went on, Zari found herself unable to juggle all her responsibilities, and she was forced to make a choice.
“I had to drop the singing and focus on the businesses and the children because it needed me to travel a lot,” she stated.
Over the years, Zari Hassan has built a successful business empire, including real estate and educational institutions. Today, she continues to thrive as a business mogul and media personality, proving that while music was not meant to be her path, she found success in other ventures.
