In a statement provided to TMZ Sports, the 24-year-old NBA star’s attorney said:

According to his legal team, Zion and the plaintiff never dated, but had a casual, consensual relationship that began over six years ago when he was 18. Zion’s camp claims that once the plaintiff began making monetary demands, they reported her for extortion to law enforcement.
“We understand that an arrest warrant was issued in connection with that report,” the attorney said, noting they have documentation to support their claims.
