Angela and Sean showcased their exceptional skill at the 2025 Midwestern Sectional U.S. Ice Dance Final, where they performed an up-tempo routine filled with impressive spins, jumps, steps, and turns. Their performance captivated the judges, earning them first-place medals and solidifying their status as rising stars in the sport.

Angela celebrated their achievement on Instagram in November, sharing photos of the pair on the podium. She expressed her excitement, writing:

The Tragic Crash

Angela and Sean were among the 64 victims aboard Flight 5342, traveling from Wichita, Kansas, to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday evening. The American Airlines flight collided midair with an Army Black Hawk helicopter, leaving no survivors.

The flight was carrying several prominent figures in the figure skating world, including Olympic hopefuls, young skaters, parents, and coaches. Many had competed at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita and were returning home after participating in the National Development Camp.
