Pierre “P” Thomas’ daughter is calling her father a “miracle” as the Quality Control Music co-founder continues recovering from a serious heart attack.
Journey Thomas shared an emotional tribute on Instagram Friday, expressing gratitude that her father survived the medical emergency and remains with his family.
“God is good. My dad is truly a miracle, and I’m so blessed to still be able to say he’s here,” Journey wrote.
She said the family has relied heavily on their faith throughout the health crisis, adding that “God’s grace has carried us through every moment.”
Thomas, 45, was hospitalized in Las Vegas on Aug. 21 after suffering the heart attack. He was reportedly treated in an intensive care unit, although specific details about his condition and the cause of the medical emergency have not been publicly disclosed.
The situation also prompted Quality Control Music to address false reports circulating online that Thomas had died.
The label confirmed that the music executive was alive and receiving medical care. Quality Control later offered a more positive update, saying Thomas was “improving and recovering more and more every day.”
That update appears to have brought some reassurance as Thomas continues his recovery.
The music executive is best known for co-founding Quality Control Music, the Atlanta-based label that became a major force in hip-hop and helped launch the careers of artists including Migos, Lil Baby and City Girls.
Thomas’ influence on Atlanta’s music scene has made news of his health closely watched by the wider entertainment community.
As his rehabilitation continues, his family has asked for privacy while also expressing appreciation for the support and encouragement surrounding Thomas.
For Journey, however, the message is deeply personal: after a frightening medical emergency, she remains grateful that her father is still here.
