Sheebah Karungi has opened up about her intense 12-hour labour experience, detailing the blend of excitement, fear, and pain she endured while welcoming her first child, Amir.
The celebrated singer, who gave birth on November 23, 2024, in Canada, took to social media to share her journey to motherhood as she marked her baby’s two-month milestone.
A Rollercoaster of Emotions
Sheebah revealed that the days leading up to her delivery were filled with anxiety, as she found herself overthinking every possible scenario.
“I never slept that entire week,” she confessed. “I was thinking of all the scariest things in the world. I was my own horror movie.”
While the thought of meeting her son brought immense joy, fear also crept in as she approached the moment of giving birth.
Hoping for a natural delivery to allow for a quicker recovery and return to work, she soon realized that labour was far more painful than she had imagined.

From Glamorous Arrival to Wigless Labour
In true Sheebah fashion, the singer arrived at the hospital dressed elegantly—donning a fur coat, lipstick, and boots. However, her stylish entrance did not last long.
“In three minutes, I had removed my wig and thrown it away,” she humorously recalled.
Sheebah went on to praise all mothers, acknowledging that she had gained newfound respect for women who endure childbirth, whether naturally or via caesarean section.
A Mother’s Love and Gratitude
After 12 excruciating hours of labour, Sheebah successfully delivered her son naturally—an achievement she described as both incredibly challenging and deeply fulfilling.
She expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for guiding her through the process and showered blessings upon her newborn.
“Happy two months to my beautiful boy. May God bless and protect you for me,” she wrote.
Despite the pain and exhaustion, Sheebah affirmed that the journey was all worth it, embracing the joys and challenges of motherhood with an open heart.
