The shooting took place late Saturday night into early Sunday on St. Helena Island, where hundreds of patrons had gathered. First responders arriving at the scene described chaotic conditions, with multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
“It was absolute panic—people were running everywhere,” a witness told authorities. “Some people dove behind tables; others ran into nearby businesses and homes to escape.”
