A forensic criminalist testified Wednesday about evidence collected from D4vd’s Hollywood Hills rental home during the singer’s preliminary hearing in the case involving the death of Celeste Rivas.
Witness Lauren Wallace, a criminalist with the Los Angeles Police Department’s forensic science division, described the processing of the property and the tests investigators conducted while examining potential evidence.
According to Wallace’s testimony, some stains found inside the garage tested positive during preliminary testing for possible blood.

Wallace told the court that investigators used BLUESTAR tests while processing D4vd’s rental property.

According to her testimony, stains located in areas near a Tesla charging station and a rowing machine produced results consistent with possible blood during the testing process.
Wallace also described the condition of the garage floor, which was covered with black rubber interlocking mats.
She testified that the mats showed significant damage, including seven linear cuts that she described as consistent with the use of a sharp object.
During the BLUESTAR testing, Wallace said some areas of the mats showed reactions indicating possible blood.
Investigators Collected Multiple Items During Search
The criminalist also discussed several other items examined during the investigation.
Wallace testified that a stained trash bag recovered from the property also tested positive for possible blood.
She further described an inflatable pool found inside the garage, saying it had a laundry-like smell and contained a rolled-up dryer sheet.
Investigators also collected additional items as part of the evidence processing, including a green tarp with red stains, disinfectant wipes and two chainsaws.
However, Wallace testified that the chainsaws tested negative for blood.

During testimony, Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman asked Wallace about a specific chainsaw reportedly connected to the investigation.
Prosecutors questioned whether investigators recovered a Makita 10-inch chainsaw, which reports say was allegedly ordered through Postmates on May 4, 2025.
Wallace testified that the specific chainsaw was not found during the search.
The discussion highlighted investigators’ efforts to examine various items connected to the property while determining what evidence may be relevant to the case.
